There is a post about Heroes coming soon as a counterpoint to yesterday’s post about Villains coming, I promise. The subject is important, though and I don’t want to just throw something together. Instead, I offer this song by Gavin DeGraw. I have a lot of great respect for the men and women that have served and continue to serve our country, even if it means they put their own lives at risk.Thank you, each and every one of you for your sacrifices, big and small, during your service. To the veterans closest to my heart, I also thank you for coming home safely. Life would not be worth much without you and I love you very much. 🙂
I have also always found men in uniform (military, police or fire) extremely attractive. I could be coy and say I don’t know why that is, but I won’t. The truth is, I think that the uniform itself is an unspoken testament to the character of the man wearing it. They stand for something, they’re determined, strong, resilient, dedicated and committed. They are not afraid of anything, are honest and steadfast. Some of my most favorite people EVER have served in the military, so to me, all men in uniform possess the same qualities that I love and count on in those people.
I can’t help being a bit breathless as a result, I guess.
